Grafikoncepts and Designs, Inc. was incorporated on June 16, 1971, with spouses Eliseo and Imelda Ocampo as major stock holders. The couple ventured into printing and publishing cognizant of the timelessness of the demand for word on the print medium. Eliseo who is a prolific writer, fed his ambition of running publications relating to his forte - economics, thus was churned the economic magazine entitled Equityman in 1973. Through Eliseo’s vision, Grafikoncepts likewise published the first uniquely indexed directory of Philippine raw materials as well as manufactured, processed and locally distributed goods called Product Guide Philippines. This publication ran up to four editions until the concept ultimately seized the power of the world wide web through Productguidephil.co-ph.com.
Grafikoncepts, then, did not merely provide offset and letterpress printing services. Mindful of the need to provide the full range of services of print production, it maintained a graphic arts department that conceptualized and created highly artistic visuals complemented by professional copy-editing and photography services to deliver a comprehensive package. This became Grafikoncepts’ edge over other printing presses.
Today, Grafikoncepts and Designs, Inc. together with its pre-press sister company Digital Management & Solutions, Inc., under the reins of the second generation Ocampos, has survived the ravages of time and proved its resilience despite the many financial, political and economic crises that befell the country. It has remained steadfast in its commitment to producing high quality products and services at reasonable cost. While other seemingly more formidable printing presses have come and gone, this family corporation has remained the friendly, neighborhood printshop that it once was with the capability of supplying today’s most demanding and sophisticated print requirements.
